Lights dim and brighten, dim and brighten...

Ok, I have been ignoring this problem for a while, but now that I have the other problems fixed, I can focus on this one. The interior lights, and headlights are diming and brightning. It is more pronounced when the car is cold. What should I have checked? I am guessing Battery or Alternator. Anything else I should have looked at?

If anything the alternator. At what RPM's do you notice this?

The lights will probably dim at any RPM at or below idle.

The alternator upgrade may be the answer. (found in the How-To Docs)

I too have a similar problem except it only does it once in the morning when im pulling out of my parking spot...

Probably time to get it checked out professionally. Today on the way into work the radio died, then a minute later the car stalled and died. Turning the key would not crank the engine. I called AAA Roadside and while on the phone with them I kept trying to start the car. After about 5 minutes it started right up, and I was able to get to work.

Oh and the lights are dimming and brightning at all RPM's although it seemed slightly worse at idle than at highway speed.

I swear I'll get this car straightened out sooner or later, however I may go broke in the process. I'll probably need to change my signature to "Car F*cked Up Again"

I just got it back, the shop said that the alternator had "significant internal problems". Anyhow my pockets are a little lighter, but no more flashing headlights.
