94 BLOWN ENGINE, 92 good engine
I have a 94 LSI, that had a rod blown. I bought a 92 with FWD and the engine has low miles, but the body looks like ****. Can i swap the engine into the 94 without messing up the AWD system? My 94 had 153k when the engine blew, this 92 i found for $850 only has 89k on it. It drives good, but you can notice a huge difference being is how its FWD.
let me know please my email is TYLERnukka@aol.com |

Ummm, are we talking about an SVX? All 92's were AWD. 94 was the first year for FWD. For your question, the only difference I know of to the engine is the EGR Temp sensor mounted on the back passenger side of the intake manifold. the 92 probubly has a bolt screwed into the hole however. All you need to do is remove the bolt and screw in the sensor. Other than that the ECU programing is the main different.

By the way I wasnt trying to be a butt head. I really did want to make sure your taking about an SVX and not some other model.

the engines are the same, except the said egr temp sensor. It is located at the left rear corner of the intake manifold...right near where the intake tubing is.
as far as the trans goes, Im going to guess you accidently got your model years backwards
