Rear wheel bearings

I also want to put in some new rear wheel berings, subaru said it was like $600+ per bearing to do, I can get them for $75- $85 but the guy at the auto store was unsure if I could do it solo. How hard is it to do these?

I brought the parts to my local shop, and they charged me $200 for the labor. $600 is an insane amount of money, unless they're doing both sides?

Just finishing up mine tonight. Roughly 100 per side for bearing, inner and outer seals and new axle nut. Took the knuckle/hub/bearing assembly to the machine shop where they pressed it all together for 20 bucks a side. Doing it yourself lets you inspect all of the other rear suspension stuff(struts, axles, boots, brakes, bushings, etc.)

^+1 DIY. If you plan on keeping your svx for a long time you are gonna want to know how to do this yourself, it will come in handy over and over.
