pulse @ 30mph

when its in 3 or drive but mostly 3 gear. when i let off the gas and slow down to 30mph the car starts to pulse... but once it gets down to about 27 mph it stops it only in that small range between 30 and 27ish that it does it. any ideas??

It almost feels like when you press on the brake with warped rotors. Also i don't have any engine brake in 3 gear

Hmmmm im wondering if this could be related to the 2-3 shift issue. Have you ever adjusted your brake band?? I know that the torque converter wont lock until you hit X degrees, but this may be something entirely different. What is your fluid level while its idling?

fluid was goo last time i checked and no leaks. brake band i don't know its got a rebuilt tranny with only about 3000 on it

Thats a toughie..... it almost seems the tranny is having trouble downshifting from 3rd to 2nd..... which im thinking would happen at about 30mph while coasting. Do you have a warranty for the trans rebuild? And is it through a shop or did you put it in?

Bingo.... dont be afraid to take it in and have them check it out. Thats what warranties are for..... you pay extra for them in case the hardware goes south. Im curious as to what they'll tell you.

yea me 2.... i noticted that i had engine brake this morning in third for about 5 min or so then it would just drop to and idel when i would let off the gas after that..
