If you are using that whimpy thing they gave you, there are marking under the car. Look underneath. Also in the manual.

If you want a lift, there are beams under the car that the beams can go. You can easily tell where they are. If you hear any crunching sound, you are too late.

if yyou're only working that one corner, put the jack at the same place you would for the flat-tire jack. Then put a jackstand under the frame part where it attaches the lower A-arm. Let the jack down slowly so you know the stand isn't going on vacation anytime soon with you under there, then pull the wheel.

I put mine up with a floor jack where the body bolts onto the frame, right behind the front wheel, under the door. I didnt have any problems that way.

I started carrying a floor jack after I broke the crappy spare tire jack.

According to the FSM, the safety stands should be put where the trunk jack would normally go when jacking the car, that is, along the "edge", instead of on the frame.

They also suggest jacking it at the crossmember in the front, and on the diff in the rear, but my floor jack won't reach in that deep, so I usually jack on the frame, and put the stands at the "edge" of the car.

I can scan the FSM if it'll help anyone.

Et Voila!

It's a mulit-page TIF file, so if your browser can't open it, download it and use the Imaging utility that comes with Windows to open it up (assuming you're a PC guy, of course).

do you by chance have a similar picture file like the one you scanned but for jack points for the front end of the car?

It's all there. It's a 2 page TIF, so if you only see one page, you'll have to use another program.

Included is the front jack point (crossmember), rear jack point (diff), and jack stands/hoist positions.
