98 forester transmission?

I'm sure this has been asked, but I couldn't find it.
1998 forester automatic... Would this be a 4.44 trans? As long as it doesn't have the external filter it should work, right?

Re: 98 forester transmission?

The guy didn't see an external filter... So that's a good sign. He got me the # off of it and almost matches one on the list. Tz103zj1aa-L1 anyone know what those last 2 digits are after the dash? Thanks!
