Nearly complete 2005 Legacy GT 4.11 5MT Swap - $1700

Tranny in perfect condition out of a 2005 LGT Wagon - 4.11 FD

Includes:
Rear Limited Slip diff - 4.11
Pedals/master cylinder
5MT/6MT SVX Crossmember
Clutch/Clutch Master Cylinder
Includes Factory STi short throw shifter with Kartboy Bushings
All 4 Axles in good condition

NO Flywheel, but these are easy to come across.
NO Driveshaft - The SVX requires a different one anyway

$1700 picked up in Houston, TX, or $2050 shipped in the CONUS.

Decided I need cash more than I need another manual tranny car.

That is getting up to wrx tranny or almost to Sti 6-speed price. Ship it for the pickup price and you should be good.

Edit: Nevermind there is extras included.

Forgot to mention that all 4 axles are included, as well as an STi short throw shifter!

That is a damn good deal. I had better not go on craigslist and find another SVX with a dead tranny for $800...

You could just buy mine and I'd throw the blue fenders in it for you.

Re: Nearly complete 2005 Legacy GT 4.11 5MT Swap - $1700

Don't tempt me man, I already have 2 more SVXes than my wife would really like. Although, one (not me) could probably pick up that roller that was for sale, and one of my 2 spare engines and your 5-speed swap and build a pretty nice ride.

Just curious, does this tranny use a pull- or push-style clutch?

Same as the STi/WRX.

Re: Nearly complete 2005 Legacy GT 4.11 5MT Swap - $1700

This is not as strong as an STi 6-speed, but is probably comparable (could be better than?) to a WRX 5-speed. At any rate, it should be quite strong enough for an EG33.

Honestly, how well suited to the SVX it is depends upon the gearing (especially the higher gears). The EG33 has a great torque curve, so it doesn't benefit from lower gearing like the turbo-4 subies do.

Re: Nearly complete 2005 Legacy GT 4.11 5MT Swap - $1700

Depends entirely upon the gear ratios and final drives in the specific transmissions you're comparing.

The only real advantage of the 5-speeds over 6-speeds (other than cost obviously) is that they weigh a decent bit less.

HE says it is a FWD conversion. Or did I read that wrong (4:11 FD)
Seems high you still need a Clutch Flywheel and drive shaft
