transfer clutches or...
transfer valve are going/gone south on the car...I know that ive read the transfer clutch is on the back of the tranny so it doesnt need to be removed...When i was at the dealer talking to the mechaninc while he was checking out the engine i asked him about the clutches..He said you basically unbolt the driveshaft adn then remove the back end of the tranny and thats where the clutches are...Granted im sure its more detailed then that but if its at all feasible then im gonna have to atleast try...Are these clutches something that i might be able to do???Are they something i can just go and buy from subaru???is there any type of stronger clutches i can go with???Sorry for the questions just seems like everything is going wrong with the car at once...Is there anyway to test to see if its the clutches or the valve or both even???Well I truly appreciate all the help and replys thanks again

The transfer press port is on the transfer case. If you got pressure there the clutches are bad. Subaru has parts, clutches, transfer valve, gasket to fix the problem. There is also a clutch and drive basket assy available.
I changed the transfer valve with my car on jack stands. If you want more info send a PM or search around some. |
